Default continuing to be amazed!!!

This is probably old news to most of you, but I'm sharing anyways. I just got back from a road trip to New York (from Detroit). I averaged 30 MPG!!! Man, 13's in the quarter and 30 MPG...that's to cool. The last time I had a car that'd run in the 13's, (1965 GTO that I owned back in 1987) it got about 10MPG. I'm impressed and pleased!

That's awesome. I hope my car will get some mpg like that if I ever take it on a road trip. But with the damn New Mexico elevation taking away so much power, it'll probably end up closer to 20-25mpg range.

Ya gotta love em, the best that i have gotten so far is 27mpg, i thought gas mileage was supposed to go down when you switch from 4 cylinders to 8

It's all about your shift points..

Shift at 2-2.5K and skip gears when you can....

hah 20 average??? thats really good dude. I think i usually get around 17.5 and the highest on a road trip was about 25 mpg. Then again it would of been better if i didnt already have 60 miles used on the tank before the trip.
