Default Slp air lid do I need it?

Guys:
I HAVE A 99 RAM AIR TRANS AM DO I NEED TO INSTALL A SLP AIR LID TO PICK UP SOME HORSE POWER?

LOL well... You don't NEED to add it to make HP, you COULD do a whole host of other things, but you CAN make power with it, and it's the cheapest power you're going to find. Does that help?

Pick a lid, any lid, they are all basically the same power gain. I'd go for one of the "newer" design ones with the smooth/curved sides but any aftermarket will do. If you havn't already, read the links in JRP's sig. Do a search for first mod or mods. Good place to start is the inexpensive bolt-ons as well as subframe connectors. Happy modding!

personally i dont think you notice a difference in hp gainage until heavier mods....like manifold, headers, cam, heads, supercharger, turbo, nitrous, torque converter....etc..etc...start with the small and work your way up to the big

An airlid is usually one of the very first mods. It definitely helps your engine breathe better. Problem is: once you catch the MOD bug, you'll have a hard time saying "enough is enough". Good Luck.
