I have a 98 t/a a4 internally all stock. I have a slight ticking noise from top-end of this bad boy. Anybody else with same problem, or has had this problem. Car is very strong with 316rwhp has gone mid 12,s @110mph w/o tc mod. mods are lid, gears (4:10) free mods (egr, ramair, exhaust) and a set of bfg drag radials@17psi thanks for the help in advance undefined

Mine has a tick as well ever since I bought it new. I've heard its called a piston slap. Not sure what it is exactly. Try a search in the internal engine forum for tick or piston slap.

check your spark plugs make sure they in tight this car tends to tick, becasue the spark plugs come loose sometimes. specially with a big cam damn lobe.
