Question Should I have more top end?

I have a 2002 Camaro SS my best time is a 12.01 at 112.74. MY mods are

3200 stall speed converter
216/220 cam 114 lsa
Pacesetter Headers with high flow cats
BFG Drag radials

Went to the track Tuesday night 60 ft were good but my mph seem to be a bit off. The first run was an 111.40 then 111.20, 111.02, 109.91, 112.06,and 111.40. Asked a friend who worked on the car he said could be the converter slipping a little because some of the runs were made back to back, or it could be the knock sensor pulling timing out of the car.I would not be curious if the weather was not good , but the weather was pretty good. Anyway my 2 question are do you thing the converter is slipping, and if it was whould I not feel that when I am driving the car? By the way doe's the Vigilante torque converter lock up?

A4 cars simply don't trap as high as M6 cars. The stall will also eat up a couple MPH.

the 'verter wont lock under WOT, and you really don't want it to.

Also that cam you have isn't exactly a "top end" cam.

I would suggest to play with the tire pressure, and give the car a lil break in between runs, compare your 60' times to top end a figure out the best result the don't sacrifice that 12sec run, maybe even with the right config, you will get into the 11's. I don't think the top end is having anything to do with the converter.

I called TSP, and asked a few friends they said it could be the Converter slipping, because it got hot when I made 3 passes in a row. So I put a trans cooler on it ,and change the trans fluid.

I leave 32 pounds in the front.
I take the BFG Drag radials down to 17
How much of a break in between runs do you suggest?
I usually make 2 runs then let it cool down for about 20 to 30 mins.
This time I made 3 back to back runs.

In the 1.72 to 1.74 range.

Those are decent numbers through the stalled A4. Especially without headers.

Thank"s BLUESIX. I forgot to mention that the car was not tune on a dyno.
Called TSP today they said change the spark plug wires.
What do you think? The spark plugs themselfs were change when the headers were put in.

I would personally throw the car on a dyno and get a tune. Whoever does the tune will be able to tell you if there's anything in the combo that needs adjusting. Plug wires might help, but i've always heard goot things about the stockers.
