tires cracked at sidewalls
on the sidewall, there are 2 lines of cracking of the rubber (about 8 inches). i can see the belt. but the tire has lots of tread left. is it too dangerous to drive around with them like this?

yes, it is dangerous. the possibility of the tread separating from the tire is great. and that sucks if it happens. most likely the tread will stay attached to the tire in some place, and when the rest separates, it will trash the side of the car. happened to my buddy in his explorer once when we were on the highway.

thanks guys, i would have never found out about them if i didn't take the wheels off to bleed the brakes.
was going to drive on them for a while until i can get some rims/tires mail ordered.
