Default If my car has been sitting for a while.....

Will the time it spent sitting make it harder to pass emissions testing?

Here in Texas we have a "sniffer" type emissions testing. My car has been sitting for about 6 months now, I need it to pass this emissions test here in the next week. Since it has not been driven in a while, is it going to be harder to pass the test?

just take it for a ride to get the cats hot. if you have stock manifolds/cats you should have nothing to worry about

Unless H-Town is different, there is no sniffer test for a 98.... Just OBDII.. Might be wrong .. But that is what it is like in DFW.
