Angry car is bad

my 98 z28 has a problem after about 1o minutes of driving it the rpm's start skipping and i push the gas pedal and the engine revs but the car barely advances speed if any one could help please do so by the way i have a 6 speed rpo codes read "mm6" and "mn6" 1998 camaro

I dunno why it would take 10 minutes to start slipping, but it sounds like a clutch problem to me.

i was told it could be the gas filter

the Internal/external engine sections could probably help you alot more then this section...

my mom was convinced her transmission was going out, felt like it would fall on its face after about 50mph. changed the fuel filter and it was fine i seriously doubt this is your problem, but its a cheap/easy fix and should probably be performed anyway.

i'll cast another vote for clutch problems

mine did the same exact thing hooked the computer up to it and found out it was going into power save mode. this is either because it is getting to hot stuck stat etc it turns out mine was due to the alternator it was charging on and off. swaped it and fixed the problem. hope this helps
