Default How much more would you pay for 01 over 00?

First, I want to say I read the changes between model years.

NEW OR CHANGED FOR 2001 MODEL YEAR
Camshaft from LQ4 6.0-liter V8 (Vortec 6000) Truck Engine
Eliminate Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)
Increased Volume Fuel Injectors
Increased Flow Air Cleaner with Larger Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF)
Pup Catalytic Converters
Cast Exhaust Manifolds with New Gasket
Reduced Tolerance Main Bearings
Revised Oil Level Tube and Indicator
Extended Maximum Oil Change Interval
Two-point Water Pump Vapor Vent
Sleeveless Coolant Sensor
Revised Powertrain Control Module Calibrations
Revised Rocker Cover Castings

So let's say you got a 00 and 01 with similar miles and wear on them. Let's assume 00 is $12K. At what point would you say I'm paying too much for a 01? If I buy either I'll most likely won't be modding it for at least 1 1/2 to 2 years. When I do mod it I'll go all out heads/cam, headers, etc. Car will only be driven on nice days unless my 96 takes a crap. I'm really on the fence about this 01 I'm looking at due to the price and minor paint blemishes. I can't decide so I need you guys to decide for me.

i wouldn't pay more than what it is worth...as in i wouldn't pay, let's say $500, more than it should be just because it is an 01...01's are going to be more because they are newer...obviously...but to basically answer your question...when the price exceeds the value...you are paying too much no matter what year..

You also need to figure the 01/02 already has a couple parts that'll you want to replace anyway like the LS6 intake and upgraded slave.
