price and interest of your loan
For you guys that bought your cars used and with a loan, which financing company did you use, what was your interest rate, loan term, monthly payment, and how would you rate your credit?
Trying to get a loan with low interest. The lowest i've found is 9.5%. For the T/A I owned I got 7.5% last time with the same company, seems kinda odd to me.
Any input is apreciated, thanks.

I use GoldenOne Credit Union. 5.89% for 36 months, and i have a little under $10k left that I hope to pay off this year. My FICO score is 755.
By the way, interest rates have been going up consistently, so that's why you aren't getting as good of a loan.

I bought my car from a nissan dealership here in town so my car is financed through NMAC, but my previous car was also financed through them so they automatically approved me with tier 1 credit. I bought my t/a in november with an 8% interest rate, not bad for a used car these days.

I got 5.75% on mine. Financed about 14,800 with taxes and all bullshit. This was in Feb. 2005 for my 2000 Trans Am. I wasn't expecting it to be that good. I bought the car about 180 miles away in Lancaster, OH. But the bank I bank at is statewide. I told the guy where I banked, and he's like "Oh yeah, that's one of our best lenders right now." He took my info and said he'd start the process, unless I wanted to bring my own financing. He said "Most people that view our stuff online bring their own financing, but we can usually beat that." I was expecting to get declined for the loan. Me = Pessimistic. I drove down early Saturday morning to buy it. He called on the way there and said I was APPROVED and said he got it at 6.25%. Half hour later, he called again and worked it down to 5.75%. YEAH!!!!

Well i bought my camaro in cash, but my impala ss was bought on a loan about 4 1/2 years ago. I had JUNK credit, so my dad had to cosign for me with very good credit. He was 1 point away from perfect according to the dealer, they would not let my name appear first on the loan though, i had to be the second on the title cause of my crappy credit (long story not my fault). The dealer with through GMAC i beleive and got me a lil under 9%. We went to our bank and they got me right around 7%. on a 4 year loan.

Mine was put on a Credit Card, 5% interest rate I hope to have it payed off soon.
Does anybody know the fastest way to check your credit score without hurting your credit rating? I dont need a full report or anything. Does closing some credit cards raise your chance of getting approved for something else?

I financed my 2000 SS (M6, leather, black on ebony black, t-top, etc.) with my personal bank. I got it for $15,300 w/ interest, ext'd warranty and under my name. I got above average credit. My interest is ONLY 3.8% for 60 months. Plan to pay her off in 4 or sooner. Pymts are $282/mth. Got a SWEET DEAL!!!

I know it went off somewhere because it was for sale about 6 months and was just gone days after they nearly sold me on it. Just curious....
