i just bought a 97 ws6 yesterday and the dealer said he thinks it's a lt1 but the guy who's done all the work on the car (he also rebuilt the engine) said that it's a ls1

my question is

is my 97 ws6 a lt1 or a ls1?
if it's a lt1 what can i do to make it faster than a ls1?

97 is a LT1 unless its a vette in which some 97's were LS1's, yours should be a LT1 unless someone put a LS1 in it.

its an LT1 unles its had a motor swap. to keep up with an ls1 you need gears, some LT headers, cat-back, and CAI. maybe more maybe less, but either way those mods i lsited will make yur car pretty damn quick
