Default Maybe a stupid question...

Hi all. I just picked a '99 TA WS6 A4. I love this car and it has tons of power, but it doesn't want to break the tires loose from a dead stop. It's bone stock except for an SLP lid. No traction control, and it has BFG Comp T/A's with decent tread on the back. Should this thing be able to roast the tires from a dead stop, or no? It chirps them a little bit, but I guess I was expecting a smoke show. Don't get me wrong, it's plenty quick and takes off like a bat out of hell. I guess I just want to be sure it's making the power it should. Or are these tires stickier than I think? Sorry for the newbie question...

Probably just good traction combined with a heavy Trans Am. It's easier to peel out with a manual tranny.

Time for more power

Thanks! Just wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. More power coming shortly...

Put a 3500+ stall in there and you'll never have traction again. I wasn't able to spin my tires very easily but was running 12.9's-13.0's all day. Now I don't remember what the definition of traffic is. Time for some Nittos.
