Deff go with the stall you will love it it totally transforms the a4 into a beast ive got a 4000 in mine and its a monster its nice when you can pull a deep 1.5 high 1.4 60' and pull the wheels off the ground but thats just my oppinion

in reality, a nitrous kit will cost more than $600 once you get it tuned and the necessary fuel system upgrades.

I vote for the stall first and then nitrous later down the road. I would also reccommend looking at some of the sponsor's kits (check the nitrous forum) before buying the NOS kit. You can also get a used kit, rebuild the 'noids and have everything you need for around $400 if you are going to spray between a 75-150shot. Ben

I would say that the stall is a better choice first as you are less likely to break parts with it and you don't have to pay $50 each time you fill the bottle. One quick note is that you want to think ahead and get a stall that will match your future cam...3400 is a pretty small stall for many cams.
