Default Rod Bearing gone Bad...

Got 98 Z28 problems.... rod bearing went bad and in turn scored the crank..... LS1... Any advice would be appreciated! Don't know which way to go...Machine the crank? Then do I have to get new connecting rods? Help!

Have the crank turned and buy rods that match the cut. Hopefully it didnt score it too bad or you will have to buy a new crank. Unless you have alot of money and want to build the bottom end you can buy new rods and pistons. If not bearings and piston rings will work. While the engine is out put a nice cam in it, a set of heads and call it a day. Upgrade that oil pump too! 98 blocks are known for having oiling problems. Either way, it wont be cheap.
