I'm in the same boat as you, under warranty with a couple minor mods. Anything posted here will help me out too, good post that I have been wondering about for a while.

tuning & gears are some of the only things I can think of that wouldn't be noticed if you had to take it in for warranty work. Maybe lowering springs/shocks? Dunno how strict the warranty thing is....

You should check with your local GM dealer I can give you a personal example though.I had a 99 formula with 26,000 on the clock. I had ftra kit, lid,k&n,cat back. Well,I bent a valve (one too many times hitting the rev limiter) so took it to local pontiac dealer where the car was purchased. They said they normally wouldnt fix it cause they thought i might have been Abusing it,but since they wanted me as a "return customer" they covered it!!

Your best bet is probably to go to the shop you plan on having the warranty work done, and talking to the Service Manager. I think that any performance mod is technically supposed to void the warranty, but not sure. Anyways, talk to the SM and see what he says, as I'm betting it varies from shop to shop as to what they will allow, and even then, customer to customer.

i think that they have to prove the part that isn't stock caused the problem. ex.-if you had 335's and a broken rear end, they probably wont cover it.
