oil pres?
what does your guys oil pres. normal sit at when ideling? i had my oil changed today and when ideling mine sits between the first white mark and the 40 mark. is this about normal? i never really paid atteion to it befor, also it flutters a lil is this also normal?

if you have a normal ls1 pump, the oil psi should be around 40 warm idle-60 on the highway......this arguement has gone on forever, about "how ls1s can run fine at low psi".....a ported pump or different model CAN run a lower psi because its flowing more volume....if a standard pump is flowing 25-30 at idle...its failing, ive been through it, ive worked on engines that have followed pattern, and i have two gm techs that agree with me

That's on a 98 that has not been rebuilt that I know of with 122k miles, with GC 0w30.
Mine also flutters some once it's warm.
