mid tube headers for a 98 z ??
just wondering what the benifits are as opposed to the oem shorties...anyone ever have em'? hp gains??..do they hook up directly to the stock cat's??..i'd rather have the lt's but i live in cali.....

Midlenght headers won't be CARB legal either, because they move the cats on these cars. Your only CA friendly option is shorties, which will offer very minor gains over the stock manifolds but will pass smog so long as you buy a brand with CARB numbers. They will retain the stock cats.

Also the only real mid-length headers for ls1 are MAC mids. They are a decent set of headers, but for the price you can get coated pacesetters which are a better header.
For CA all you can legally run is shorties with CARB number. I ran a shorty setup with all the boltons put down 344 rwhp so power can be made, it just takes more to get to the same level.
