how many? hey i'm new to the board, been lurking in shadows for a while learning a few thing here and thereand decided say what's up. I don't own an f-body but i just bought an LQ4 and it has about 95,000 miles on it. I was wondering how many miles these motors are good for before we have to break them down and stroke them out

thats an iron block motor and they last a very long time....it takes alot of beating to hurt these type of motors, they dont really go on miles per say...you can stroke it anytime you want to just add more displacement, its really up to u not the motor
alumn blocks arent as strong as iron, but theyll last forever as well....my trucks motor has 180k miles on it and its alumn....no issues....
