Default engine stand question.. NEWB!!

kinda new to taking out and working on engines so.. I was wondering.. if this item was worth the stated price... and will it fit a LS1? looks like the little arms bolt to the motor using the tranny bellhousing holes?

I also see some cheesy ones on ebay for cheap..but I don't want my engine tipping over or anything.

thanks for the heads up

Yep, that stand will work. You will have to get some different bolts though to bolt the engine to it. Just take one of your bellhousing bolts to a hardware store and match the thread and get a bolt that is about 1.25" long as well as some flat washers to fit it.

I don't trust much that comes from harbor freight but I have a 2 ton jack that has worked prefectly over the years from them.

Yea, most of their stuff is pretty hit and miss.
