I am going to be putting a new cam and heads and intake on my car. the powerband of the new cam will be up to 6500 RPM's. I want the car to shift around 6200 to 6300 RPM's. I also plan on getting all the necessary stuff for a cam swap, oil pump, valve seals, push rods, timing chain, and springs... what makes it safe for some engines to turn at 7k and some at only 6k RPM's? what is the difference in the engines?
