Default Camaro is not being a team player right now.

It does not want to start on me. Engine cranks, but does not fire. Last known culprit was the code for the exciter wire leading from the top of the Alternator.

I thought I figured out what the problem was.

I replaced the wire leading to the top of the alternator, the suspected culprit. I also replaced the battery with another Optima Red Top.

I go to fire it up, and it doesn't want to start. The engine cranks strongly, the fuel pump primes, just doesn't fire.

So I get out, check out the PCM, check out the wire, wiggle the fuse box a little bit.

I get back in. The car fires up. Let it warm up and idle.

Shut it off after about five minutes.

I then turn the key and try to start it again.

No dice.

check spark, get a spark tester, it will better re-create the systems natural characteristics...unlike a screw driver.

If you have spark (if you dont do this also), check for an injector pulse, if you dont have one or the other (or neither) it sounds like a cam/crank sensor issue.
