Default Quick lid question

Just bought a 2000 SS that is stock. I had an SLP lid on my 99 Z28 and like it a lot. I am going to buy another SLP lid for the new car but wondering which I should buy. I am wondering if I should get the 98-99 lid and put a breather filter on the air pump line that runs from the stock lid. I don't like the AIR hose coming out of the lid, I think it looks like crap. Should I get the 98-99 lid then? If so, what size filter do I need for the AIR hose and where is the best place to get it? Or, should I just go with the 00-02 lid and be happy? I am planning on getting LT's sometime soon and want to delete the emissions stuff anyway but that won't be for a couple of months so it has to stay for now.

Yes you can. Some brands of lid actually come with a breather filter. You could cut the air hose shorter and hide the filter behind the headlight.
