Default How to build for the future?

What is a good way to build for the future? I have a stock ls1 and I am going to do a head and cam package on this, however I also already have a short block 454 lsx in the works. Is there a way of being able to use the same set of heads for my two applications or have I choosen the wrong path? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think there is a way to do what you want and to do what's best for both. You could go with a pair of oversized heads and then swap them, but it wont be optimal for the stock cubes, where as if you went with heads that were optimal for the stock cubes they will probably be choking the big cubes. I would honestly just build up the LSX and not worry about the head/cam for the stock motor, just spray the **** out of the stock motor.
