Default y pipe ??

does any 3" ory fit on any kind of headers? like a y pipe from some mac mids, or shorties, fit on the stock manifolds or also would it work with longs tubes?

not directly, but with a welder or taking it to an exhaust shop its pretty simple
to fab up.

There's really no need for a 3" y-pipe unless you have headers. I think Bassani, MAC and Random Tech make 2-1/2" y-pipes for stock manifolds. I think they all make ORY stock y-pipes and catted y-pipes. A guy in our club just put the Random Tech catted y-pipe on his wife's car and said it made a big difference in response, power and gas mileage. SLP makes a stock replacement y-pipe that is round and not flat like the factory pipe. But it's still pretty small like 2-1/4 at the ends.

ya but ik where i could get an slp one if i wanted, but id rather buy one that will work with the longtubes i will be puting on, my main question is will a y pipe from some mac mids work with longtubes?

Not without modifications. MAC's headers and y-pipe connect in a different place than most longtubes.

i have slp lt and u have to get slp y-pipe but i recomend x-pipe thats what i ended up getting in the end and its more power u jus have to go to a muffler shop and get it made
