ok jus installed pacesetter longtubes, spark plugs and wires.
when i install the wires the little heat shields(with the spring attached to it)that the wires slip in would not fit back into the spark plug hole, so i jus left them off.

is this ok, or could it be a problem?

I put my MSD wires with out the heat shields no problems here.

I left them off too so it shouldn't be a problem. As long as the wires are plugged in correctly, they won't move around n therefore not get burned.
