Default Chip!!~

I was surfing ebay today and like every other post seemed like it was selling this chip that is supposed to give you up to 40 hp and 10 more MPG. Anyone know about this thing and if it is a scam?

I heard that if you add a jegs sticker that turns into 100HP though. So could be well worth the investment.

All that chip is, is the IAT resistor. It makes the computer read the ambient air temp as 60* and increases the timing to it fullest.

Stop being dicks to the guy ya'll.

I dynoed with the SLP IAT sensor and all it did was make the car run pig rich, and I lost hp...

It's a house of lies! You might be able to get an extra 10 - 15 rwhp from a comprehensive dyno tune on a bone stock car, however you can't get those on ebay for $20. If we could all get an extra 10 mpg for that price, I think that guy wouldn't be able to keep them in stock!

i wouldnt even buy a programmer, just save up and get HP tuners or an actual dyno tune, programmers are just chips with buttons

I know my brother has an HP turner and I got my dyno tune from Jeff at thunderracing. He fixed my exhuast leak and got me 15 extra horse power with 11 ft lbs of torque.
