Default EGR/AIR delete on '00 T/A... need some suggestions

Hey guys,
I'm looking at some LTs, and I would like to ret rid of the pesky egr and in the way air system. Only thing is, I know it will throw a code. Is there any way to get rid of the stuff but leave somthing there so it wont throw a code? Here in STL Missouri, the new enhanced emmissions program can tell if your car doesn't have an OEM tune on the computer, and wont test you if it isn't factory. Pretty much, if I get the car "tuned" even with a hand held flash tuner, it will fail. Any ideas on how to get around this?

I didn't throw a code after removing the AIR system until I pulled the fuse for it.

The codes popped right up as soon as I pulled the EGR equipment though so I'm not sure if there's anything you could do for that. Sorry I'm not much of a help...

Leave the EGR valve itself bolted to the head and plugged in, just don't hook it up to the intake or exhaust. Same with the AIR, as long as the pump is still there and pugged in you can just not hook it up to the exhaust.

My codes from !AIR pop up after about 10-20 miles of driving. Seems random. Every time I disconnect the battery it goes away and comes back after driving.

I wonder if you could disc. the battery and reconnect it before going in? Or would it toss the code in the computer but not display it.

if you disconnect the battery it wont test the car, because it erases possible codes and, the obd2 test checks module readiness and when you disconnect the battery you have to drive about 30 miles to get all the modules ready again so no go on that one
