Default Patriot Performance Valve Springs? - from a 4.6 Ford Guy

Hello. New Here. I'm a Grandpa just getting back into a weekend car after raising six kids. I have a 4.6L SOHC 2000 M*****g GT (don't hit me). I'm getting ready to put new valve springs in and want to ask you guys a question.

I think Patriot has been supplying its valve springs for you guys longer than it has for the 4.6 modular motor. How is their reputation as a spring? I know everyone has a favorite, but do they sell a good product? It's a divided camp on my site. Thanks for the help.

I know its a little engine, but I just ran a 12.09/117 with a 1.7 60'. I'm hoping to improve that when I install my cams and spring kit and get a new tune.

From what I've heard they're good springs. Is the car on N20 or blown? 117 is moving out for a SOHC mod motor. I read the fine print.

I would delete this post, then pretend like you have an LS1 and ask this question again in the Gen III Internals section. Don't mention anything about Mustangs.

PP is who I'll almost certainly go with for my springs.

Thanks. It has a P1SC Procharger with 3.1" pulley making about 12lbs. Need the cams and springs though to open it up to the air and rev a little higher. I have a NOS fogger kit for the intercooler and a wet spray into the throttle body but don't utilize either right now. Need to get the base motor going and under control first. My 117mph is not near the fastest street Mustang around here. Got some going 125+ and lo-mid 11's. Our spats are between the 2v, 3v and 4v(DOHC) owners. Sort of a family fight.

Alrighty then. Sorry. (I will if I can figure out how to delete it.)

Thanks. No law against learning what's going on in the LSX world, I guess! Also, my last two tuners own LS7s and tune 4.6's almost exclusively. (One of em does own 4.6s also). A lot of mod motor guys are not fond of Patriot. Don't know why. I think its because the entry of Patriot into performance parts for the 2v mod motor is much later and doesn't have a big audience yet. That's why I came here.
