what does a broke tranny mount feel like under acceleration??

Mine had a nasty shutter in it during accel. The tranny was jumping up and down.

If you try to launch fairly hard from a stop you will hear (and feel) a loud bang from under the console. The whole transmission lifts up and hits the bottom of the car.

It's not difficult to replace, and a new one is pretty cheap. For more info on replacement mount options see my thread in the auto trans forum:

You know when its gone. theres no mistaking that noise and feeling. If you keep your hand on the shifter while you drive you'll know. Clank! Clank! Clank! THUD!!
