If you can get 93 octane I have heard that 150 will be fine, if you are on 91 though I'd say 125 MAX before you get any knock retard, but you really don't know unless you do some data logging!

That sounds a little high for me. Zex recommends pulling timing with any nitrous added. But hey, it's your engine. I would say no more that a 50 shot.

I ran a 100 dry shot with small cam and bolt-ons and stock fuel pump and injectors for awhile and it never gave me problems. Once I swapped heads and cam I wired in the IAT timing tricker mod and had it tuned to pull out 6* for a my 150 wet shot. I think you'll be fine on stock timing. I wouldn't worry about pulling timing on a small shot since your timing hasn't been advanced any. Just make sure you have the fuel side covered.

I put my first bottle through my car at the track with my 150's in, 93 octane, stock everything, no problems..... yet. however I have a timing retarder that im about to wire in, it will pull 3 degrees for me, only when the solenoids go hot.

Every car is different. Typically with the LS1 you can get away with spraying around 100 -150 on a internally stock motor with no PCM tunning.

I agree!!! With a stock timing of 28 degrees I would do no more than a 50. You can try for 100 but your looking at potential detonation issues. What kind of plug are running?
I run 18 degrees timing on my 300 shot with a NGK T-7 plug. My EGT when I cross the 1/4 is right 1300 degrees F.

Don't waist your money on a programmer, You'll spend about 300 for a limited computer. Fork over the 500 and buy HP Tuners for your Laptop, that way you can tune your car iun your car for whatever your tunning needs are. Trust me, you'll appreciate the investment.

Remember just because you dont knock on 100 shot, you can still make the same power by pulling a few degrees and your ls1 will be running much safer. I would think you can go with 100-125 shot with race fuel. let us know what the results are!
You should never tune of of knock sensors!

i think i sprayed 150 shot at stock timming once. did fine. but your always rolling the dice. after the tune i think it at like 20* with a 200 shot. but this is all on built internals.
