How many miles should I get broken on a fresh motor before I start to spray again?

if it started up and has good oil pressure, crank it up to get the rings seated, give it a few big revs, if it stays together and has good oil pressure, change the oil again, and go for it i had about 5 miles on mine befor i sprayed it. 1/4 mile at a time. i was using the track as my dyno tho.

I've got like 500 miles on it. Getting it tuned for WOT soon. Just don't know how soon I should start spraying.

I didn't know if there was like a rule of thumb type thing out there for this situation.

I have sprayed motors right after the 10-15 minute break in period. I am sure if was not correct or ideal, but those motors lasted for years afterwards. If something went wrong I had only myself to blame.

If I had to tell someone when they could 1st spray a motor it would be a different answer. I would suggest doing your normal break in and then road test the car for a bit to make sure you had no other issues or noises.

Be certain that you have no oil consumption issues before spraying.

Oil causes detonation, which is the very last thing you ever want in a nitrous engine. It will cause severe engine damage.
