Default 430whp ls1 wants nitrous ;)

i have a ls1 we built that produced 430hp at the wheels in a 2001 firebird that my friend owns. this was dyno tuned. its a stock bottom end with just heads intake and cam. anyways hes wanting to spray 150 shot on it wet.. do you guys think its asking a lil much of the stock bottom end?

No its not. I have the same hci setup making 445/420 and i leave on a 100 dry and grab a 200 wet behind it 300 total stock shortblock. been that way for many passes but i dont care. To be safe i wouldnt go over 150 200 max. Thats y i like the dry and wet set up. leave on dry it pulls timing for you and grab the wet and they mix and you ride

spraying 150 or 175HP , good idea , don't go above 180HP to be safe.

Make sure to dial it in tune wise on the nitrous and make sure the fuel system is up to snuff. All the safety items should be in place as well...

Sure with a good tune the bottom end can take a 150/200 shot all day long, been there done that to the tune of about 300 passes and finally bent a rod with a 285rwhp shot (all passes were dry of course, lol). actually it was the 685rwtq that was the nail in the coffin, lol. Just remember, knowledge is power in more ways than one. Do the research and be informed and you will do fine.

But what about a bottom end that already has over 400RWHP, shouldn't you limit your shot to around 100HP max to be safe? Many say around 200HP is what you should stop at on the stock motor, with the extra 100HP of the cam setup, I would think you should drop down to a 100HP shot max.
