Default Purge for NXL

Hey guys, I ordered a purge kit (generic NX purge) for this system and some other components without really thinking about it and I was just thinking, where would you put the purge with this system?

Usually the purge is right at the solenoid, but since I can't do that being the solenoids are built into the rail on this system, where can I put it so it would even be effective? Would it work tapped into the Y fitting before the rails? Do I need 2 purge solenoids on the end of each rail? I dunno how this would work.

Maybe one of you guys that has more experience with N20 setups than me can offer some insight. Thanks!!

I am thinking of adding a purge as well. My thoughts:
1) one purge noid going into the Y

2) two purge noids right on the end the rail.

I like 2 better as it will remove the air in the y and lines as well.

I put mine off a manifold that I put right at the y fitting. I seems to work very well. You are only looking at maybe 2 feet of air and the is gone quick. the 14 ft in the line is what you need to worry about.

Mike,

Thanks, that's what I was going to do, but I didn't know if it would be effective like that. Yeah, you're right - the amount of air that could be in the those short lines to the rail can't be all that much, I was just trying to think of a way to remove all the air from the system. I guess if someone wanted to be crazy they could put 2 manifolds one on the end of each rail and have a dual purge, but IMO I don't think it's worth all that. It would look pretty darn impressive though!

Thanks for the input guys.

I was thinking of two at the end of the rail also.
