Default fuel pressure ?s befor i spray

i just hooked up a wet kit on my 95 lt1, and just to make sure i cheaked the fuel pressure before i hit it. goin down the road it was sittin at like 40 but when it was under WOT i saw like 22 and from what iv read thats not to good for spray. am i right or an i a dumb ***? what should the fuel pressure be. iv got it ready to hit it with a 100 rwhp shot. oh the car has 123xxx miles and as far as i know its a stock fuel pump.

Put a Walbro 255 on it and be done with it. You can get them off E-bay for 100.00 or so. If it's dropping to 22psi at WOT on motor yo don't wanna spray it.

Way too much of a pressure drop. Get a nice walbro in there. I would also look into doing the hotwire kit as well.

No offense, but why go through the trouble only to half-*** it and not have the full capacity of the pump?

Again, no offense but if your that broke you shouldn't be spraying at all. Good luck with your efforts.

Yes you're getting voltage off the alternator...no better source than that.

You also will not see any performance drop with a heavier gauge wire.

If you cannot afford it, I believe there is a write-up floating around showing you how to do it yourself.

**** that hotwire kit. You DO NOT need it. I've got one hanging in my garage that I wouldnt waste my time installing. If you have a new pump, check the pressure just to make sure it is ok and go hit it.
