Default Lingenfelter controller?

Does the lingenfelter controller require a line lock for an a4 ? I was reading
their instructions and it looked that way and confused me.

It doesnt need one to operate. They just added that in there so you have the option of wiring it to the line lock if you line lock after staging. Im installing the LNC003 on my car right now and its a little more detailed seeing as how I have to put a new reley on both the nitrous and fuel solenoid and then add a on-off switch in there somewhere.
