Can I do the relay trick?
My buddy was informing me of the "Relay trick" where you use the cars IAT vs spark cable and tie in a relay to pull timing upon arming the system. He said when doing such you have it set (in HPTuners I am assuming) so when arming the system, it sends input to the relay and shows the IAT sensor really cold air which then in turn tricks the computer into pulling timing? I have a 99 C5 corvette, any idea if I have with IAT vs Spark cable to do this trick? Thanks!

It's a resistor that tricks the IAT sensor not the relay so much. Relay just provides power. And you want it to show really hot. Like I have mine set for 205 degrees.

But you need to determine what your IAT Spark Advance Table is set to. Use the link to the HSW chart that i sent you in your other thread, to findout what your default setting is. If LS1, then you can only spray IMO, at most 100 shot, bc default is 3 degrees. But your tuner can change this setting to whatever you need. You can find the resistors at any local electronic distrubutor, like a bulk distributor, not somewhere like radio shack.

oh gotchya. Well I have the interface but was going to sell it as I can only pull 3* with it.... want to spray at least 150 and 3* won't cut it!!!!
