Does VERY high heat and humidity kill you N20 shot?
I ran my car at SLP Day in Ohio saturday and it was about 88-90 degrees and sorta high humidity.
The best I did on my 75 shot that day was only a 13.35 @ 108 !!!
My best ever was 12.37 @ 115 MPH. Much cooler weather, about 65 that day.
Does the high heat really affect my N20 runs?
Everyone at SLP Day was way down on thier times. Most LS1's were doing mid to high 13's to low 14's, no joke!!

Ditto!
Weather effects every car nitrous or not. Also remember that people heat the nitrous up to build pressure. So heat is not going to effect it, even though nitrous works better cooler, there is not a real way to keep it cool and keep pressure up!

nitrous runs are not affected as much as NA runs when it comes to weather conditions. The nitrous cools the air going into the motor, you can think of nitrous as good weather in a bottle

To my knowledge Nitrous will cool your intake charge X amount. Its supposed to be -127 degrees I believe. I've heard that it can lower your intake temps up to 65 degrees. Of course that depends on the car and the size of the shot. But if its hot out and your intake temp is about 90 degrees and you hit it with nitrous it goes to 25 degrees. (using the approx 65 degrees decrease) If its 65 degrees out and you lower it 65 degrees you'll be 25 degrees colder yet at 0 degrees which would yield more power. So my answer would be yes. Heat affects every car no matter what you run through it. I would also assume humidity would lower performance also since its water.

My car ran 13.41 off the show room floor. so if you ran 13.35 it sound like the n2o isn't working. I also ran 12.60's with a 100 hp shot on street tires the best 60ft 1.95. check your bottle pressure it could be empty or it could be over 1500 psi on that hot of a day and it will lock up the solenoids and they won't open possiblly. just some ideas.

Most LS1's that day were doing high 13's to low 14's all day long. The best I did at that track off the bottle was 13.18 in the 1/4.

Yes, temp and humidity will affect a nitrous car, but not nearly as much as an n/a or supercharged car.
Do you know what was the lowest time of the day at SLP Day?
Thanks!
Mark
