Default NX bottle heater question?

I cant seem to get the bottle pressure to go above 850ish when using the NX bottle heater on my NX bottle. Tried with valve open and closed, this was on a completely full 15LB bottle. Isnt supposed to be at 1050 Any ideas?

Yeah, it should get up to around 1050 before turning itself off. When you said you tried it with the valve closed, did you mean the bottle? If so, the heater pressure sensor will never see the bottle's pressure and never turn off. Kinda dangerous. But anyway, if the heater is turning off at 850, the sensor may be bad, or your gauge is incorrect. Just my .02.

The NX heater switch cuts off at 900. Throw it in the garbage and run the pressure up to 1200. BUT MAKE SURE THE BOTTLE IS OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the update guys
The heater says it shuts off at 1050, but it is shutting off at around 800. How can I get around this? I have an old NOS heater sitting around, would that work?

You may have a defective pressure sensor. If it's a new heater, I'd call whomver you got it from and have them send you a new one. It really has nothing to do with the heater itself, but the pressure sensor.
