At what levels do backfires become a concern?
So I finally got around to getting a hood that'll fit the Holley Hi-Ram, and then I realized, crap, metal intake plus wet nitrous (Nitrous Outlet plate) is generally pause for concern. So my question is, at what shots should I be concerned? Are the lower 100-150 shots nothing to be worried about, or is it the mega 300+ stuff? I was hoping to go no further than 200.

honestly all backfires are not good. Even on low shots you still run plenty of potential for damage. I know prob not the best answer but its true. Ive seen and had plenty cars on the dyno (used to work at a shop) blow up , blow intake manifolds, etc from something as little as a 75

"GO GATORS"
...sorry, I just had to do that
I've been chatting with a Holley Dominator installer/tuner about going that route with a dry setup, but there's that whole issue of the factory gauges. So until Holley comes up with a workable solution for those of us with street cars, I may have to just bite the bullet and switch from HP Tuners to EFI Live...like I should've done years ago.
