If you're putting the sensor in the elbow, how is nitrous hitting it? Are you running a TB plate kit? Shark nozzle setup? Most people run 4150 plates with those intakes...
It will effect it in a negative way. When you go SD you will be using the IAT sensor for fueling control and nitrous will cause that to be inaccurate. You should put it upstream. (Before the entering of nitrous and fuel)

I too have a 6061 Elbow (Aarons) and a Vic Jr. I have a 4150 NX Plate kit. I plan to route my IAT sensor either in the elbow via drilling a hole, or in some cold air piping from the air box to the TB.
