Default Retarding timing

I have 99 Silverado with a 5.3 it's completely stock and I was wondering how you would retard the timing to run nitrous please let me know I want to run a wet single fogger kit with a 75 shot

That small of a shot I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe re-gap the plugs smaller to avoid blowing out the spark.

Lingenfelter controller. Give Nitrous Outlet or Nitrous Express a call.

I would still pull several degrees to be safe.

Normally you want to start with about 2* of timing per 50hp pulled. On a 75hp shot on a stock application, you could get away with running 91 or 93 octane and you wouldn't have to pull any timing for that much nitrous. If you plan on stepping up to 100 or more, I would definitely pull timing to keep things safe.

There are 2 common ways to do this, you can go into HP tuners and pull static timing, or you can pick up a Lingenfelter LNC-2000 timing retard box that you wire in, and it pulls timing when the nitrous system is armed, that way it doesn't take away from your N/A tune.

Agreed! Definitely pull some timing, even if its just to get a base line and end up putting it back. You can always put timing back...pistons take a little more work
We sell the Lingenfelter LNC-2000 which is the way I would recommend to go. You will have the ability to pull up to 15 degrees and be able to move up in hp later without having to go to a tuner and pull extra timing or do it yourself via tuning software. Let me know if you have any questions!

The Lingenfelter box is a nice device.
