Default purge line question..

hey guys, I bought a used 5177 kit and it has a purge kit also, the purge solenoid has about a 7" piece of hard line coming out of it, the previous owner cut it he said. I was just wondering, what could I connect to this line to route my purge? can I just use rubber hose with clamps, or what? Does it have to be hard line from the solenoid? I work with pnuematics and hydraulics, so I have all sorts of flex-tube and fittings, but no hard line. I could even adapt the solenoid to use the hydraulic tubing from the source, but I figured I would ask first.

If hard line is required, some info about how to accomplish this would be nice!

thanx-William

You don't have to use hardlines. I bought the dual purge kit from Dynotune, and they used a t- adapter with 2- 90 degree adapters and a flexible plastic tubing.

So yes.. you can use a plastic type hose.

You can go doqn to the local hardware store and pick up vacume line with some clamps.Cut the hard line in half.Use one piece for each end.People have been using this method for years.
