Default questions about 1/4mile gains & Nitrous

i went to the track(san angelo dragway, formerly wall dragway) last friday for TNT.
the first pass i made was N/A and i ran a 12.18 @ 111.41 so the next pass i decide to spray, i have a NX wet kit with the nozzel mounted in the bellow,TR6 plugs, walbro 255, new fuel filter & system activation off a button. The only jets i had were for either the 75 or 150 shot so i went for the 150.

Anyways i sprayed a little after the 60' with a 1.74 60" i ran a 11.802@115.1 After that run i find out i have a huge leak coming from the purge so i fix the problem and run again this time didnt spray untill half track runing a 12.05@115.44 off a 1.800 60'. After running one more time an 11.90@115.48 (i red lighted & hesitated for a sec-bad run).I figure too much N2O leaked out and that a low bottle pressure is to blame (800-850psi). I switched to a new bottle for the next runs but the bottle hadnt been heated at all so i only had a little over 900psi.
With the new bottle i sprayed just feet after leaving the line, a 1.69 60' gave a 11.64@115.66
The next pass was a 11.56@115.81 off a 1.63 60'.

If you've been patient enough to read through this you will notice that my trap speed spraying a 150 shot is only 115.8mph N/A it was 111.4mph. It didnt matter if i sprayed off the line, half track, after the 60' it traped 115mph. WTF do you think might be the problem besides bottle pressure, could it be plug gap, nozzel location, trash in the filter(i cleaned trash out of the screen on the N20 noid--before the races), bad noid?
the transmission shifts/feels strong still.

Any ideas? Any similar experances? help, i would like to fix the problem and run some low 11's high 10's if possible. beside that it cant be good what ever is wrong.

Thanks

Are you sure about the jets sizes being 150? Sounds more like a 75 shot to me. Are you sure you didn't have the jets switched? What size is your feed line from the bottle to the nozzle? Is the nozzle opening pointing towards the T/B? Are you using a WOT switch and or an FPSS?

something is not right. i have a t.n.t wet kit and a 100shot got me 8 tenths and my mph went from 115 to 127 at a 900psi bottle.

Elite,
It sounds like a 75 shot to me too, but it has the 61/35jets (i think, i cant remimber the exact #. i'll pull'em out in the morning)
my feedline is the standard sized line that comes with the kit, i dont have a full throttle or FPSS switch. i only sprayed above 3,000RPMS, sprayed through the shifts. the nozzle is pointed towards the TB, but with it being mounted in a fernco bellow do you think it might be deflecting? can the nozzle clog up?

Mike,
i was thinking the samething. my buddie ran a 12.6 motor and an 11.5 on a T.N.T. 100 in his Trans am.

just though i would give an update, I figured out my problem.

after searching, and checking everything multiple times I was at a loss. I found that the shark nozzle was semi pointed at the edge of the bellow, and that fuel and n2o where just splattering off and not really mixing with the incoming air charge. I fixed the problem and took her out on a back road to hit it. there was not really any noticable change with the performance, things still did not feel right. I just got fed up with it and decided to sell the kit and start over, i had wanted to try out a dual nozzle TNT kit anyways. I sold everything but the brackets and feedline (I gave the buyer a differant main line & set of brackets)

Anyways I was taping off the ends on the feedline and noticed something shiny stuck in the line just after the flare. i wasnt sure what it was but it didnt look like it was supposed to be in there. i blew on the line and couldnt pass any air through it. i then barrowed a friends N2O bottle hooked it up to the noid end of the line and cracked the valve, the object shot out with a "pop" im still not sure what it is, it kinda looks like part of a schreader(sp?) valve

Sorry for the rambling on but i was happy to find out the true problem (feeling a little dumb but still pleased), i guess little to no n2o flowing out the line explains the 4mph gain off a 150 shot it was running rich as **** to im sure

I already bought a TNT kit that should be here sometime next week. man i would have been pissed if i put on the new kit using the old line and had the same problem.
