Should I do spray on my engine? Will it hurt it?
Hey guys this question has probably been asked a million times but here goes. I have a 1998 Trans Am with Headers, Full Exhaust, intake, and bored out throttle. It has 100,000 miles on it and I want to run some nitrous..what do you think? About how much could I do..its def. not worth blowing up my engine or hurting it. I really just want a little extra boost and def. need that purge kit.

Hey Dan,
Sure, you can run some no problem. I would start off on a 100 - 125 shot and take it from there. With having 100,000 miles on it I would look into replacing the fuel pump. We offer a Racetroinx kit that is plug and play. I would also suggest a window switch and fuel pressure safety switch for the nitrous kit. The purge is a good idea, as is a bottle heater. Also take a look at our nitrous kits and let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Matt

Alright, I was thinking maybe just a 50 or 75 shot to begin just to be safe but I will take your word. What is a good Fuel Pump and does anyone have one for sale? What would be the price I would be spending total on everything? Also is there anything that doesnt make a difference if I get used or not?
Thanks
Dan

For a n00b, buy a kit designed for your car. Get the safety stuff... wide open throttle switch, fuel pressure safety switch and window switch. And most importantly, take it to a reputable shop for the install if you're not comfortable with that and always check the air/fuel ratio with a wideband.
