Default Anyone spraying on a yank 4400??

This is my current converter and im up in the air about spraying on such a high stall... I will be buying a built trans and flexplate soon.. but will the N20 make the converter flash that much higher?? it seems im only running on a 1000 rpm wide powerband now.. 5500-6500 on a stock trans slipping 3rd gear with no juice yet!! Cam only car.. 12.2 at a measly 104mph 3rd is toast... It is a TNT kit that will see 150 shot if everything is ok.. Should i invest in a 6 lug smaller converter??

One has to be careful when spraying such a loose convertor so as not to "blow through" it, meaning it taking you out of the desired RPM range to quickly. Without going into a bunch of geek speak, I would try out a small 75-125 shot and see how it responds. I believe depending on your C.I.D., camshaft, gearing and weight the convertor will most likely need to be tightened up just a touch (3000-3500) should you want to spray a larger shot on it. Hope this helps some.
