Default NX bottle heater will not heat to over 800psi

Worked PERFECT two seasons ago, didnt use it last year, but this year it will not heat the bottle over 800psi. Is the heater shutting off early? How to fix this or adjust the t-stat/auto shutoff? Could it be a pressure transducer gone to hell? Anyway to test it?

It could be any number of several items.

1. Is the bottle full? How much does it weigh exactly, low volume will result in low pressure.
2. Is the gauge functioning properly? After spending a couple of years working at speed shops, and then a while working for a nitrous company... I couldn't even being to tell you how many gauges I've seen go bad and start reading inaccurately. My first inclination would be to purchase another gauge to install inline to double check.
3. The heating element itself could have gone bad and is not building up enough temperature.
4. The pressure transducer could be bad... have you tried wiring the heating element direct to test if the pressure will rise above 800?

OK, Since it is getting power here is how to problem shoot the system. With a full bottle of course...

Bypass teh pressure switch. If the heater them hetas the bottle to the needed bottle pressure its the switch...

Also pout your hand on the heater element make sure that the entire area of the heater element is getting hot...

If it is the pressure switch we carry the replacements in stock in a NX brand and a unit we use that is adjustable.

Good point dave it very well could be the switch, dump it and watch the bottle pressure without it.
