Default stumbles when nitrous engaged

I ran my Trans Am on nitrous for the first time yesterday, 100 shot NOS plate kit on a stock LS1. The car seemed to stumble when the nitrous was first engaged. It would jerk and then take off like a rocket. It allmost felt like it was getting only fuel for the first instant the nitrous is engaged... Is this normal? How do I fix this?

How long did it stumble? whats the air fuel ratio? IF you dont know figure it out. Could be really rich right away and then still be rich but good enough to pull... SOme people have spikes right away.

half a second maybe? No AFR gague yet... I'll go pick one up later in the week. The bottle was full so pressure shouldn't be an issue, I havn't wired up the pressure gague yet.

I don't think purge should be an issue because it does it every single time the nitrous is engaged.

The bottle is mounted sideways in the back, but I tilted it the 45* towards the front like the instructions said...

Any ideas how to fix this?

Mine was doing the same thing and I have a purge. I even tried burping it in the burnout box. Same thing. Then I noticed that my battery was almost dead. It had good volts but the amps were down on it.
