Hello from Kent
Hi all. New to the forum and to LS1s. Couple questions:
Are your get-togethers and run-offs always on Sunday? I work weekends.
Why aren't GTOs allowed in the "top 10"?

Hi there!
I live just a little ways north from you in Renton... I'm right between the Benson Hill Fred Meyer and the Panther Lake area.
Most of the get-togethers are on the weekends (sometimes Friday evenings as well), and most of the time they're up in the north end since most of the guys are from up in the Everett/Marysville/Monroe etc. area.
As for racing, we just hit up the test and tune days at Pacific Raceways, and right now they all seem to be on Sundays... but later on as the season gets going there will be Wednesday and Friday night drags. Most of us also participate in Car Club Challenge races at Pacific and Bremerton, but that won't get rolling until May.
As long as your GTO is of the LSx breed, then of course it's welcome in the top 10.

For SURE mine will never make it! But that aint why we bought it. And as stated, ANY LSx powered vehicle is allowed to compete. We have a couple goats in the 'club', a few vettes, even a Monte with an LS6. So c'mon in & join the fun!

I put my car in my sig. I can understand about GTO owners not wanting to mod too heavily, yet. The fun will start when the warranty expires!
Since this is my first high powered vehicle, I'll be happy just taking the driving course at Pacific Raceways this summer and doing a few 1/4 miles just to see if I can get the car to do what the factory says it should do. Once I'm confident in my abilities, then I'll start tinkering. I'm already thinking about that APS twin turbo and maybe a sway bar.

Welcome. What kind of car do you drive Voodoo? We do a lot together, and post in advance. Drag racing, open road racing, car shows, cruises, mod fests. Good bunch of people to hang with and some of the brightest LSx gurus live here too if you have questions.
