Ok here we go... I was just offered to buy a 99 motor with motor/harness/accessories/pcm/carpet/headlights for 1700 would it be worth it to upgrade the 98??? I think it will be cheaper to get this than a forged motor and have it rebuilt with better parts what do yall think?

You're going to have to change out alot more than that to get it all to work, incar wiring harness is different, dash is different...

Why are you wanting the rest of that stuff?

Are you saying you want to put the 99 engine in the 98 car. That is not difficult. Use your 98 harness & coils just get the center bolt coil bracket. The only other difference is the oil pressure sensor & temp sensor. Just swap them over from the 98 engine. I just did this swap recently. I did have to retune as the AFR's were off. I don't see anything wrong with the 98 computer in our H/C nitrous application.

well i am mainly doing it so i can build the 99 motor up, so i dont have to spend the million dollars on a forged motor that and i can sell of all the parts i dont use as well...ie power steering,ac,fuel rails, injectors, coils all that good stuff and wiring harness as well
