Default Need to remove Marker from paint

Can anyone suggest a solution that will remove a permanent marker from a painted tailgate? A guy at work had someone write on his tailgate with a sharpie and it's not coming off. Thanks for your help.

maybe a little paint thinner or lighter fluid or gas for that matter atleast those are what ive used to get paint off of my hands before i would think a little of any of those might work. if im wrong correct me but its worth a try, make sure you wash it off good though.
