intake clearing SS hood?

well my stock hood rubbed on my MTI lid now for my new setup I got a FT 85mm lid and a SS hood.. with the lid on the hood doesnt shut

I don't have any problems with my MTI lid on my OEM hood on my SS.

you might have to cut up the hood a bit or just get a different lid. i know most of the guys with oem ss hoods dont have problems.
